Last minute marathon tips
The annual Hong Kong marathon is this Sunday, no doubt you have finished training and are now carbo-loading. Here are a few things you should start doing today which hopefully will help you get better results.
- Trim your toenails
- Check the weather and prepare your running clothes accordingly (Mainly cloudy with a few rain patches; 13 - 16oC; Northeast wind force 4; 75 - 95% humidity)
- Check your running shoes (debris in the soles? laces working?)
- Drink plenty of water the day before the race
Everyone got their own race day routines. But do remember to:
- Cover body areas susceptible to chafing with petroleum jelly etc
- Have a light meal and stay properly hydrated.
- Make sure your race number is secured according to race rules
